It is the micro-implantation of coloring pigments into the skin for aesthetic purposes to enhance, contour, and outline facial features. Frequently done on the eyebrows, lips or eyes.
-
It has some of the same qualities, yet it is very different. Only specialists in micro-pigmentation can perform this procedure on the face; tattoo artists cannot. Permanent makeup uses only the techniques, tools, and pigments specifically designed for micro-pigmentation procedures, making it safe, sterile, and painless. Permanent makeup artists also use effective topical anesthetics that are not allowed for use by tattoo artists. Permanent makeup uses instruments much more delicate in design that provide natural-looking results.
-
At ESxBeauty, the procedures are performed under sterile conditions, using only disposable needle cartridges and with a digitally controlled implantation device. There are no long-term side effects; short-term effects may include some redness, swelling, and tenderness. There are no known allergic reactions to pigments.
-
Unlike in tattooing or some other type of permanent makeup salons ESxBeauty uses topical anesthetics that are highly effective to be applied to the treated area which significantly reduces discomfort. Typically, patients will report a tickling sensation with little or no discomfort during or after a procedure has been performed.
Please be aware when booking a lip procedure, if you have ever had an outbreak of fever blisters at any point, you must consult with your doctor for a prescription of Valtrex or similar product prior to your procedure.
-
Some swelling and redness can be expected for up to 24 hours following a procedure. Cold compress helps to reduce any swelling around the eye/lip area. The treated area must be kept clean. No makeup should be applied for 7-14 days. Some skin peeling and lightening of the applied color is normal. If any additional adjustments are desired, these will be made during your touch-up appointment. Regular routines usually can be resumed immediately after the procedure. However, tanning or swimming should be avoided for two weeks. Normal healing time is between seven to fourteen days.
-
Gradual fading can be expected for all permanent makeup procedures. This varies among people and is dependent on the specific shade used, personal care routine and sun exposure. Most colors last three to five years. Periodic touch-ups are recommended to maintain the desired look. You can also choose to change colors of your permanent makeup. For instance, a nude lip color can be modified to a peachy pink or a brown eyeliner to a black or navy hue.

Lash extensions are not the same as strip lashes. They are semi-permanent, synthetic lashes that are glued to your natural lashes through the use of lash adhesive. They are placed on individually, either on each lash or every other lash, depending on the look you are going for.
-
A lash lift doesn’t use synthetic lashes, it is the augmentation of your natural lashes. A perming solution is used to lift and curl your lashes, making them appear longer and more shapely. You also get a tint to make your lashes darker, giving a faux mascara look.
-
Before your appointment, make sure that there is no eye makeup or excess product such as moisturizer around your eye area. The area should be as clean as possible.
If your go-to mascara is waterproof, you should avoid this a couple of days before your lash extensions. Otherwise, this may interfere with the application.
-
You shouldn’t come to your appointment wearing contact lenses as these cannot be in place during the treatment. Once the lashes have been applied, you can wear contact lenses again. However, if you notice any irritation when wearing the contact lenses, we recommend getting them professionally removed as it might not be the best option for you.
-
We recommend avoiding mascara altogether, especially with the more natural, lighter lashes as this will add weight to the lashes and give a higher risk of them falling out.
Avoid waterproof mascara completely as this can ruin your lash extensions and will be very hard to get off, resulting in lashes falling out prematurely.

When preparing for your spray tan, exfoliating is key but don’t wait until the day of your spray tan. It’s best to exfoliate your skin in the days leading up to your appointment to take away any dead skin cells. By exfoliating ahead of time, you’ll be prepping your skin to soak in all the bronze color a spray tan has to offer! This will help ensure your color lasts up to seven days.
Make sure to avoid deodorant, makeup, or any lotions/barrier creams and oils on the day of your appointment.
-
We recommend wearing dark, loose clothing to your session to avoid rubbing off your new spray tan and staining your clothes. During the application process, we recommend wearing a darker colored bikini or disposable undergarments.
-
After getting a spray tan, it’s important to keep your skin moisturized. The more hydrated your skin is, the longer the color will last. We recommend refraining from any heavy physical activity or swimming in order to preserve your tan as best as possible.
-
How long a spray tan lasts can vary from person to person, but one session will typically last from seven to ten days.

When waxed consistently, hair grows back slower, finer and sparser. Shaving cuts your hair, it doesn’t remove your hair—so the quantity and thickness remain the same.
-
The beauty of waxing is knowing you’ll be hair-free for a minimum of 1-2 weeks following your wax appointment.
-
Your hair won’t grow back thicker and darker after waxing, just the opposite! Hair that is removed at the root grows back softer and finer over time.
-
The million-dollar question, “does waxing hurt?” is nearly impossible to answer! Everyone has a different scale for pain tolerance and what is painful for someone may not bother someone else. However, at ESxBeauty, both our wax and our process work together to offer you the most comfortable service possible.
If you’re still worried about managing sensitivity, we recommend taking an ibuprofen or aspirin roughly 30 minutes before your appointment to help maximize your comfort. Pro-tip: waxing more frequently will help with sensitivity as hair grows back finer and sparser!

Henna is a 99.5% natural product that has the power to stain the skin as well as the hair. Unlike regular tints, it contains no ammonia or peroxide’s. It conditions the brow hairs as well as encourages new hair growth. It is also excellent for those resistant grey & white hairs
-
No, it’s not. It is not a tattoo, it is not invasive, it does not hurt. It simply stains the skin and tints the hair.
-
Like anything, results do VARY, however, most of the time you can expect the skin stain to gradually fade over 7-14 days and the hair tint 4 weeks.
Your lifestyle also plays a big part in the longevity i.e. swimming, excessive sweating, using face products on the eye area, etc. will all result in your Henna brows fading faster than usual.
-
For most people, the answer is yes it does. However, for some people it’s the opposite. This is not something we can control nor guarantee. We make every effort to ensure that you do get a great result. Again, the only way to truly find out is to try it for yourself!

A lash lift is a chemical process that is used to curl your natural lashes. It will make your lashes appear fuller because they are so uplifted. Depending on the size of the shield used, the lashes can be lifted more or less dramatically.
-
None at all! You don’t have to do anything special with your lashes in between lifts. If you wish you may use a nourishing oil or lash serum to promote the strength and length of your natural lashes.
-
No. The lifting solutions are only applied to the new growth area of the lashes, down towards the base and up a bit. Never to the ends of the lashes where they are the most delicate.
-
Depending on the length and quality of your natural lashes, the lift can last for 6 to 8 weeks. Your lashes shedding and growing will cause the lift to grow out, the structure of the lift itself should not change.
-
Lashes must be left alone for the first 24 hours. Keep them dry, no water, sweating or crying, do not touch, rub, or pull on them. Try to sleep on your back. Do not apply make up for the first 24 hours. After 24 hours you may resume your regular activities and treatment of your lashes.
-
Yes, as soon as the 24 hour window has passed. Waterproof mascara is not recommended as the removal of it is much rougher on the lashes and can cause the lift to begin to drop.
